Problem: The central water pipeline in the urban-type settlement of Mikhailivka was constructed in the 1960s-70s. Currently, its physical condition does not meet any technical, sanitary, or techno-economic standards. It is worn out by 60-70%, and in some places even more. Unaccounted water losses, as well as energy costs and ongoing repair and restoration work, which exceed 60 incidents per year, lead the municipal enterprise to constant losses, and the quality of drinking water supply services to the population to a low level. Moreover, all this is a significant factor in the unpopular decision to raise water supply tariffs.
Project goal: Complete replacement of the water pipeline in the urban-type settlement of Mikhailivka.
Effect: The implementation of the project will allow the community to:
✅ Ensure break-even water supply;
✅ Improve water quality;
✅ Maintain stable water supply tariffs;
✅ Enhance the quality of water supply services;
✅ Reduce operating and maintenance costs of the water pipeline;
✅ Decrease the costs of electricity consumed by the municipal economy.
Need:
➡️ Replacement of water supply networks;
➡️ Installation of shut-off valves;
➡️ Installation of water meters for household consumers;
➡️ Installation of distribution wells;
➡️ Network looping.
Total project cost: 18.2 million euros (as of 2021).
