AGRICULTURE
In Zaporizhzhia region, the front line is more than 150 km long, which means 600 thousand hectares that need to be completely demined. The number of sappers available in Ukraine today will allow to demine the territory of Zaporizhzhia region in only 240 years.
Project Objective: Involvement of partner states in training mine action specialists and operators, transfer of useful experience and technologies, provision of 20 vehicles, demining equipment and establishment of joint production of Ukrainian demining equipment under the “Made in Ukraine” project.
Effect:
✅ Increase in the area safe for agricultural activities
✅ Reducing the cost of demining agricultural land
✅ Reduced time for humanitarian demining
✅ Increased economic potential of the region
Needs:
➡️ Financial: funds for the establishment of centers with further training of specialists, purchase of machinery and necessary equipment
➡️ Technical: provision of demining machinery and equipment
➡️ Logistical: delivery of the necessary equipment and machinery to the demining location
Total project cost: EUR 20 million.
