Revitalization of the Park in the City Center of Kamianka-Dniprovska

Problem: The community lacks places for recreation, leisure, sports activities, and meeting the needs of all population groups. There are cultural and historical landmarks that require restoration and the implementation of ideas aimed at preserving cultural heritage and national memory. Over the years of independence, the park has not undergone significant changes; outdated ideas were used in its creation without the application of creative solutions. The park is inaccessible for special population groups, lacks shelters, bus stops, and organic integration with the road and pedestrian network. There is also the challenge of combining a museum and informational function dedicated to the history of ancient Ukraine with a memorial dedicated to modern Ukrainian war history and Heroes of Ukraine. Additionally, the park suffers from the challenging coexistence of a sports area, a Scythian rampart, and a hotel-restaurant complex, resulting in non-functional zoning and a lack of unified planning structure. Given these problems, there is a need to implement a large-scale project using multifunctional solutions to meet the needs of all population groups, which will become an ornament of the city and community and increase its tourist attractiveness.

Project goal: To create a modern park in the community for recreation, leisure activities, sports centers, meeting the needs of all population groups, and restoring the mental health of the community residents after de-occupation. To preserve cultural and historical landmarks and enhance tourism and investment attractiveness.

Effect: The implementation of the project will allow the community to preserve and ensure:  National memory

Need:

• conducting a detailed analysis of the territory and developing a master plan;
• construction of park infrastructure (roads, pedestrian paths, lighting);
• creation of a tourist information center and museum complex;
• installation of memorials dedicated to the Heroes of Ukraine;
• organization of recreation areas and shelters;
• installation of bus stops.
