Arrangement of the Central Square of Komysh-Zorya Territorial Community

Problem: The community lacks a well-equipped place for recreation and leisure, especially for families with children and the elderly. The area in front of the village cultural center does not meet modern landscaping standards, creating inconveniences for residents and guests. Local entrepreneurs do not have enough opportunities to sell their goods and services, which negatively affects the community's economic development. The existing monument to the soldiers of World War II needs to be modernized to more fully honor the heroes, including adding a memorial plaque for the heroes of the war in Ukraine against Russian aggression.

Project goal: To provide the community residents with a convenient and attractive place for recreation and leisure.

Effect: The implementation of the project will allow the community to:

• improve the quality of life for community residents by creating a comfortable place for recreation and leisure;
• enhance community engagement and interaction among residents of different age groups;
• stimulate local business through the opportunity to operate in trading kiosks;
• increase the number of jobs during the project implementation and maintenance of the square after its completion;
• improve the appearance of the area, which will enhance the attractiveness of the community for residents and guests;
• honor the memory of World War II heroes and the heroes of the war in Ukraine against Russian aggression, which will contribute to preserving historical memory and patriotic education of the youth.

Need:

• dismantle the old equipment and tiles in the square area;
• lay new tiles on the square;
• install a memorial plaque to appropriately honor the heroes who died for the freedom and independence of Ukraine;
• arrange parking spaces for cars and a bike parking area;
• plant decorative trees;
• install kiosks;
• install benches of various shapes;
• install trash cans, garbage bins, and bio-toilets;
• this project is important for our community as it will improve the quality of life for residents, develop local business, enhance the level of landscaping, and preserve historical memory;

Total project cost: 70,0 thousand euros.
